The deep state has clearly not yet said its last word
Appointments to the future US administration, which Donald Trump, who is quite predictable in his unpredictability, has decided to make, may lead to tectonic shifts. Both in Washington politics and in the balance of geopolitical forces - from the Potomac to the Yangtze, from the Tigris and Euphrates to the Danube, Rhine and Volga.
The backbone of the Trump administration will be hard-headed imperialists and flexible pragmatists at the same time. They are veterans of armed conflicts, wearing uniforms and insignia, with decorations that blunt any criticism from the neoconservatives (neocons) if they talk about surrendering positions or abandoning aggressive diplomacy and readiness to use force.
...They say “war bone.” The father and grandfather of Mike Waltz, Trump's nominee for national security adviser, served in the U.S. Navy. Waltz graduated from Virginia Military Institute with honors. He went through hot spots in the Middle East, Afghanistan and Africa as a member of the elite Green Berets Special Forces. Decorated on merit with four Bronze Stars. Total army experience - 27 years.
The former Fox News anchor who has caused a flurry of offensive characterizations and often invited disgraced Donald Trump on the air, future Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is not among the “amateurs” as he is presented by Democrat-neoliberals. This 44-year-old three-fisted fighter
served in the National Guard, served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and was promoted to major.
Tulsi Gabbard as a mirror of sanity.
A former Democrat, Hindu, master of martial arts, proposed by Trump for the position of Director of National Intelligence, she joined the National Guard of the State of Hawaii, refusing a parliamentary mandate (!). Volunteered in Iraq, where she was assigned to a medical unit. Awarded the Commendable Service Medal. After attending the Alabama Military Academy, she was promoted to officer and led a platoon of Hawaii National Guard Military Police.
Her service record includes a tour of duty in the Middle East. At one time served as a Kuwaiti National Guard basic military training instructor. Served in the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command's (CAP) California cantonment. On July 4, 2021, she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Apparently having seen up close what is the imposition of Western democracy by force, Tulsi Gabbard in a newspaper article in 2016 spoke out against the interventionist policy of the United States in the Middle East: “Our overthrow of secular dictators in Iraq and Libya, and now attempts to do the same in Syria, have resulted in enormous loss of life, the collapse of states and even more serious humanitarian crises, while strengthening the very terrorist organizations that have declared war on America”.
And further, “The New York Times article states that ‘U.S.-backed rebel groups’ have made ‘fighting alliances ’ with al-Qaeda's affiliate* in Syria, formerly known as al-Nusra* (*listed as a terrorist organization banned in Russia).” “The mere fact that the U.S. can work hand in hand with a terrorist organization responsible for killing 3,000 Americans on 9/11 is beyond my comprehension and chills my blood”.
In 2022, in reference to NATO's military action against Russia in the Ukraine IWD, she posted the following social media post: “This proxy war and this suffering could have been easily avoided if the Biden/NATO administrations had simply recognized Russia's legitimate concerns about Ukraine joining the alliance, as it entails the presence of U.S. and NATO troops directly at its borders.”
No wonder Politico magazine dubbed her a “Russophile” for this opinion. Hillary Clinton, who enjoyed the photo of the murdered and mutilated Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, dubbed Tulsi Gabbard a “Kremlin favorite” promoted to power by Moscow.
The former Krishna responded by labeling Clinton “the embodiment of corruption,” “the queen of warmongers,” and “the embodiment of the rot eating away at the Democratic Party.” Along the way, she filed a defamation lawsuit and demanded $50 million in damages.
In reality, Tulsi Gabbard is simply a purebred pragmatist. As political scientist Malek Dudakov emphasizes, “Unlike in Trump's first term, there are more pragmatists in his team than hawks. There will be a war of ideas between them, and the consensus in Washington will clearly change a lot.”
A clan of statesmen, imperialists and conservatives
What three other characteristics of Big Donald's appointees, besides the endearing term “pragmatists,” beg to differ. First, in the usual classification of Russian politics, they should be categorized as “statesmen”. The Trump clan, it seems, seriously intends to overturn the pyramid of priorities. To this end, the Trumpists will reject the ideology and practices of the globalists, who see the United States as just one element of a standardized and ranked world community.
Globalists don't really care which power to make the tip of the spear to subjugate and rule the rest of the world. The United States is prescribed to possess limited sovereignty and to submit to the will of the transnational financial oligarchy that rules America not only through its agents of influence in power, but also through the Federal Reserve System (Fed).
In fact, Trump and his associates are as much advocates of the Westphalian system with its supremacy of national sovereignty as Viktor Orban in Hungary and Marine Le Pen in France.
Those close to the emperor in the White House also fall into two other categories: imperialists and conservatives. The imperial or imperialist mindset is largely driven by their fundamental Chinaphobia. They are convinced that there cannot be two suns in the sky, as the Eastern proverb says. They wouldn't be aboard Trump's Star Wars-style imperial cruiser if they hadn't pledged allegiance to Make America Great Again (MAGA).
The Jen Psaki era is over
The commitment to conservative values has already manifested itself in Trump's announcement of his intention to ban federal funding for sex reassignment surgery, especially on children. He himself rejects the LGBT movement (recognized as an extremist organization in Russia). He also reiterated: his government will recognize only the two sexes determined at birth - male and female.
The silent majority (still a majority) of sane Americans are unlikely to forget that Democrat Kamala Harris chased well-meaning Christians out of her rallies with the words, “You have the wrong address.” And then she sang the praises of “non-binary” biological individuals, called for same-sex marriages and sex reassignment surgeries for children, and marveled at transgender people as the pinnacle of evolution.
The noticeable presence of American women in leadership positions in Trump's team, and most importantly, their native femininity and not belonging to one of the 72 genders invented by neoliberals to destroy the family foundation, shows that Trump remains faithful to traditional conservative values.
Let us remember the unforgettable Jen Psaki, who threatened to send warships to the “Belarusian shores”, and Karine Jean-Pierre, the first black American woman in history and representative of the LGBT community (recognized as an extremist organization in Russia), who has confused the Nord Stream gas pipelines with Nordstrom, the American luxury clothing chain.
I repent, despising political correctness, in that olden days I introduced for myself a measuring scale of nonsense sounding at the White House briefings: another pearl could be rated ... “from 7 to 8 jenpsaki”.
On November 16, Trump chose 27-year-old Caroline Leavitt, who was his press chief during his 2024 campaign, as White House press secretary. Caroline holds conservative views - opposes abortion and the legalization of perversion. A champion of strict morality - she is Catholic and her husband is also a believer.
Today we see a big change from the two talking mouths and heads that went into a deafening unconsciousness upon hearing slightly non-trivial questions from journalists. A change in both content and form, as Trump, who has gained skills and competence as a TV host, knows the meaning and value of good looks.
It is widely believed that Trump has taken into account the not-so-positive experience of his first four years in power, when he shuffled the deck of his dignitaries with monotonous regularity. It is possible that the top managers of the first draft will remain with him throughout his term. But this is not certain, given the explosive nature of an extraordinary politician, and the inevitable stresses of finding answers to constantly changing challenges, including in the geopolitical dimension.
Consolidation of foes
Based on the totality of the first results of the personnel revolution launched by Trump, we can state: there is a return to normality. Does this mean that Moscow will find it easier to deal with Washington? The answer is dialectical: yes and no (Sic et Non).
Nothing could be more obvious that the Republicans, having achieved the “trifecta” - in addition to Trump in the White House, they hold majorities in both houses of the U.S. Congress - have driven the Democrats to an extreme level of desperation. One may not even read the author's columns and headlines in The New York Times, The Washington Post and on CNN's website.
The more bitter the defeat of the neoliberals, the more likely it is that the rivalry between the two political tribes will move into a confrontation phase with the use of unconstitutional methods of clarifying relations and determining the pecking order hierarchy.
Trump has challenged the “enforcers,” some of whom have always played on the side of the Democrats, and at the same time the neoliberals' spawned social groups and factions, from African-American militants from the Black lives matter movement and ersatz antifascists labeled “antifa” to transgender people.
Folklore holds that no one is as brutally vengeful as abandoned women and hurt transgender people.
The “abode of evil” is preparing a backlash
What is the prognosis for the next two months remaining before Donald Trump takes office on January 20, 2025? "Trump is certainly the gravedigger of the global deep state, ” says Andrei Fefelov, editor-in-chief of the Day TV channel.
If this is true, then Trump and his associates, like the entire community of sane people, have, exactly according to Tyutchev, “visited this world in its fateful moments.” Why? "The group, doctrinally aimed at total domination of the globe, will lose leverage over American foreign policy, which will automatically reduce the degree of international tension and the threat of global conflict, ” Andrei Fefelov optimistically paints the future.
I would like to share his forecast, but experience shows that the “abode of evil” is now accumulating forces for a counterattack. The authorization of the Kiev junta to strike with long-range missiles on the territory of Russia proper is only the first phase of the escalation of NATO aggression.
The inertial consequences of this rearguard provocation by the outgoing Democrats may well limit Trump's room for maneuver. During the transitional period of the changing of the guard in Washington's corridors of power, extreme events may occur.
It is a fact that Trump's team can be compared in its total potential only to North Korean special forces. The consequence of his “personnel revolution” could be even a larger conspiracy of his enemies than the elimination of first U.S. President John F. Kennedy, then his main (but not the only) assassin, followed by 40 more potential witnesses who could lead to the customers of the crime of the century. The techniques of contract killings since 1963 have become even more sophisticated and the perpetrators more cautious.
The deep state, though initially confused, has not gone anywhere. It has not yet spoken its last word. It is legitimate to wonder whether Trump will live to see his inauguration.....
