Sharon Stone Blames Trump's Victory on ‘Ignorant Americans’ Who Never Vacation in Europe

In a passionate address at the Torino Film Festival, actress Sharon Stone unleashed a fervent critique of President-elect Donald Trump, attributing his victory to what she perceives as the ignorance and arrogance of many Americans. Her comments, delivered amidst the glamour of a film festival, seemed to reflect her deep frustration with the political climate in the U.S. Stone’s remarks encompassed a broad spectrum of themes, from the dangers of political apathy to the moral imperative of recognizing the distinction between “good men” and “bad men.” As she received a lifetime achievement award, her words resonated with concerns about the future direction of American society and the consequences of uninformed voting.

TPV: Hollywood celebrity Sharon Stone has blamed President-elect Donald Trump’s landslide victory on what she described as “ignorant and arrogant” Americans who don’t hold passports and vacation in France and Italy.

Stone delivered an incoherent rant about the recent presidential election while speaking at a press conference at the Torino Film Festival in Italy. At one point, she veered off onto a bizarre tangent about the importance of distinguishing between “good men” and “bad men,” implying that men who didn’t vote for Kamala Harris fall squarely into the “bad” category.

Stone, who vowed to leave the US if Trump won, kicked things off with by comparing the incoming second Trump administration to fascism under Benito Mussolini during World War 2.

“Italy has seen fascism. Italy has seen these things. You guys, you understand what happens. You have seen this before. My country is in its adolescence. Adolescence is very arrogant. Adolescence thinks it knows everything. Adolescence is naive and ignorant and arrogant, and we are in our ignorant, arrogant adolescence,” she said.

The actress then gave her unflattering description of the type of people she thinks elected Trump.

“We haven’t seen this before in our country. So Americans who don’t travel, who 80 percent don’t have a passport, who are uneducated, are in their extraordinary naivete.”

The Basic Instinct star got deeper into her rant.

“We must say that good men must help good men and those good men must be very aware that a lot of your friends are not good men, and you can’t continue to pretend that your friends are good men when they are not good men, and you must be very clear-minded and understand that your friends who are not good men are dangerous ,violent men, and you have to keep them away from your daughters, wives and your girlfriends,” she said.

“Because this is a time when we can no longer look away when bad men are bad.”

Stone was at the festival to receive a lifetime achievement award.

As Planet-Today reported, Sharon Stone recently announced she would consider moving to Europe if Trump won the election. It remains unclear if she has given up U.S. residence.

Sharon Stone has been vocal about her political views, especially regarding the Trump administration. Her comments highlight a broader conversation about the role of education and global awareness in shaping political opinions. By pointing out that a significant portion of Americans lack passports, she underscores a perceived disconnect between global experiences and domestic political choices. This perspective has been echoed by others who argue that travel fosters a greater understanding of world issues, potentially influencing voters’ decisions in meaningful ways.
