Snow fell in Taiwan in late March

According to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB), Taiwan’s highest peak, Yushan, snowed this morning.

According to the CWB, as the cold air mass continues to hit Taiwan, it snowed at 7:10 am on the north face of Yushan. At 8:05, it snowed intermittently, the temperature ranged from 0 to 1 degrees Celsius.

By 8:40, the snow had stopped falling, and this morning at the CWB weather station in Yushan, 1 cm had accumulated. According to the bureau, precipitation continues to fall, but it is a mixture of sleet and ice grains.
