Dogs mysteriously die after swimming in Lake Belton, Texas

Officials in Texas are investigating reports of dogs that died shortly after swimming in Belton Lake. The US Army Corps of Engineers has asked visitors not to let their pets drink water or swim in the lake.

Delaney Presley, said her 6-month-old dog died after swimming in the lake. The vet told Presley that two other dogs also died after experiencing the same symptoms as her dog Koda.

“The cause of Koda’s death is unknown, but the vet said something killed her within 30 minutes after it entered her bloodstream,” says Presley. “Cody played, then staggered and fell. The vet was 11 minutes away, but he died a few minutes after arriving. ”
