Floods and mudflows caused by heavy rains in Kenya claimed the lives of 120 people. In total, the disaster affected the lives of 160 thousand people.
The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said Wednesday that heavy rains in an East African country destroyed key infrastructure and livelihoods.
The most severely affected is Western Pokot County in the north-west of the country, where villages destroyed many homes, killing 72 people. In total, 31 out of 47 districts of the country found themselves in distress due to heavy rains. Since the beginning of rains in October, 18 thousand inhabitants have been evacuated.
