A potentially dangerous huge asteroid is approaching Earth

A “potentially dangerous” asteroid that is larger than the Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as the Cheops Pyramid, will approach the Earth at the end of August, NASA data show this.

The diameter of the asteroid 2019 OU1 is 160 meters, which is 20 meters more than the most famous Egyptian pyramid.
On August 28, 2019, OU1 will be 40 times closer to Earth than Venus. An asteroid will warm up with our planet at a distance of about a million kilometers.

Earlier, the European Space Agency (ESA) has updated the list of space objects that pose a potential danger to the Earth.

The closest date incident is considered a hypothetical collision of the Earth with the asteroid 2006QV89. According to experts of the agency, this may happen on September 9 of this year.

The probability of such an event is one chance out of seven thousand. Now the asteroid is located about 6.7 million kilometers from Earth.

Topping the list of potential threats is the asteroid 2010RF12. Experts suggest that a dangerous approach of the body to the Earth will occur in 2095. Chance of collision – one out of 16 chance.
