An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 caused significant destruction in China

An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 occurred in the northeast of China. As a result of an earthquake, 12,000 buildings were destroyed or damaged. According to the official authorities, there are wounded, but there are no dead.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located near the city of Songyuan, Jilin Province. The epicenter lay at a depth of 13 km. After the main shock in the course of the day more than 200 aftershocks were recorded in the same area.
