A 6.0 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Papua New Guinea

An earthquake of magnitude 6.0 on Wednesday, May 9, occurred off the coast of Papua New Guinea, according to the US Geological Survey.
The epicenter of tremors was located 177 km south-east of the city of Kokopo. The focus of the seismic event lay at a depth of only 10 km. fluctuations in the earth’s crust were recorded at 07:57 GMT.
There were no reports of casualties and destruction.
