Rio de Janeiro suffered from a heavy rainfall

The downpour, followed by a squally wind and thunderstorm, hit the city of Rio de Janeiro. According to the estimates of meteorological services, in various parts of the city fell from 119% to 150% of the monthly rainfall.

In the Barra area, for an hour from 23:45 to 0:45 the water level rose by 12 cm. A strong wind knocked down many trees in the center of the city. It is reported that damage to several cars.
