Syria’s President the former Al Qaeda leader Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa (aka Abu Mohammad al-Julani) arrived in the US on Sunday to attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York City,
He is the first Syrian leader to do so in almost 60-years.
Al-Sharaa, who overthrew former President Bashar al-Assad and ended his family’s 50-year rule of Syria in last year, has been president since January.
According to a report by the AP: al-Sharaa, who is apparently a diversity friendly jihadi) met Monday with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in New York, expanding relations with the West and further easing his country’s isolation…”

Following the radical Islamic takeover of Syria, Washington lifted the majority of sanctions against Damascus and the Trump administration voiced support for the former terrorist’s efforts to “unify and stabilize” the failed state.
Only back in 2017 did the U.S. embassy in Syria plead with the world to stop the terrorist that the U.S. now openly hosts.
