The chief executive officer for big pharma vaccine maker Moderna is stepping down from his role as the company’s chief commercial officer.
Stephane Bancel will remain in his role as Moderna’s CEO, Bloomberg News reported last week.

Reuters reported: The company’s president Stephen Hoge will take charge of sales as well as medical and research affairs, according to the report.
Bancel will remain in his role as Moderna’s CEO, the report added. Moderna did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
Moderna had announced in December Bancel would head sales and marketing, and work directly with the company’s commercial team, after then commercial officer Arpa Garay had decided to leave.
