Marjorie Taylor Greene Threatens Congress With Release of Jeffrey Epstein Files

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) threatened to throw her colleagues in Congress under the bus by releasing “the entire Jeffrey Epstein files” if Republicans block Matt Gaetz from being appointed as attorney general.

“For my Republican colleagues in the House and Senate, If we are going to release ethics reports and rip apart our own that Trump has appointed, then put it ALL out there for the American people to see,” wrote Greene on X.

MTG continued: “Yes… All the ethics reports and claims including the one I filed. All your sexual harassment and assault claims that were secretly settled paying off victims with tax payer money. The entire Jeffrey Epstein files, tapes, recordings, witness interviews. But not just those, there’s more, Epstein wasn’t/isn’t the only asset.

“If we’re going to dance, let’s all dance in the sunlight. I’ll make sure we do.”

Last week, President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Gaetz to lead the Department of Justice was the source of controversy, partly because the House Ethics Committee was on the precipice of finishing its investigation into allegations that he “engaged in sexual misconduct and illicit drug use, accepted improper gifts, dispensed special privileges and favors to individuals with whom he had a personal relationship, and sought to obstruct government investigations of his conduct.”

While the Ethics Committee no longer has jurisdiction over his case because Gaetz resigned from his seat in Congress, some in the Senate, including Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Markwayne Mullin have called for the release of its report on Gaetz.

Lawyers representing multiple women making accusations of Gaetz, meanwhile, have publicly accused him of sleeping with a high school student and paying for sex.
