Whoopi Goldberg Claims Bible Supports Sex-Change Surgery for Children: ‘God Was Really Clear’

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg has made the outlandish claim that the Bible supports parents who put their children through life-altering sex-change surgery.

During Thursday’s airing of the controversial ABC show, Goldberg claimed that “God was very clear” about child transgender treatments.

According to got Goldberg, people who oppose such treatments didn’t read the Bible properly because, she claims, God states that He wants underage kids to be put through so-called “gender-affirming care” by parents and doctors.

Goldberg made the comments following a conversation about a transgender Montana lawmaker who faced disciplinary action for breaking the rules of decorum in the state House.

As Slay News reported, Rep. Zooey Zephyr (D-Missoula), a biological male who “identifies” as “female,” warned Republican colleagues of “bloodshed” if they opposed transgender surgeries for minors.

“I hope the next time there’s an invocation when you bow your heads in prayer, you see the blood on your hands,” he warned GOP members.

The Republican-controlled state House voted to censure Zephyr in response.

He has now been banned from appearing in the House but will be allowed to vote remotely through the end of the current legislative session.

Goldberg and co-host Sunny Hostin criticized the move, however.

The radical hosts claimed that the move is proof that Republicans are banning speech.

“Now, what the hell is going on in this country? That’s what I want to know,” Goldberg blasted.

Disregarding Zephyr’s threatening remarks, Goldberg continued by asserting that Republicans had simply voted to punish him because they didn’t like listening to an opposing point of view.

“What are the rules that say, ‘I don’t like what you’re saying, so I’m going to get a whole bunch of people to think like I think and we’re going to ban you from talking,’” Goldberg continued.

“When did that become the law of the land?”

Hostin cut in then, saying that she had looked it up and there was no such law, still ignoring Zephyr’s violent rhetoric.

Both hosts also ignored the fact that Zephyr’s supporters had disrupted state House proceedings.

His supporters were loudly chanting until they had to be removed from the gallery and several were arrested in connection with the protest.

Goldberg then turned to the argument that had gotten Zephyr banned.

Zephyr made the threatening remarks over a bill that would ban transgender surgeries for minors.

Goldberg then claimed that, if the GOP believed in parental rights, then parents should be able to consent to life-altering and irreversible surgical procedures for their children.

“My God, this is a party that says we believe in parents’ rights,” Goldberg shouted.

“You’re telling me that as a parent, I don’t — I’m not smart enough to decide if my child and I need to have gender-affirming — or doctors are not involved.”

“So what is — I can’t decide what my kid reads, I can’t decide for my child, what my child says is going on,” Goldberg continued as Hostin said “yep” in agreement to the false statements.

“You’re telling me your beliefs — you’re — and they keep saying it, and I keep saying, ‘What Bible are you reading? Because God was really clear!’”

WATCH:

Goldberg did not explain what exactly God had been “really clear” about.

Nor did she identify where in the Bible God expresses support for transgender surgeries.

Nevertheless, Hostin voiced her agreement and the audience cheered along in support.
