Undercover footage reveals Indiana lab conducting ANIMAL TESTING on monkeys, beagles

Undercover footage from a whistleblower revealed that a laboratory in Mount Vernon, Indiana had been conducting tests on monkeys and beagles.

An undercover investigator working at the behest of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) recorded the footage at Inotiv Inc.’s Mount Vernon facility. For seven months, he was assigned to work on more than 70 toxicity studies commissioned by more than 12 pharmaceutical firms. The studies involved more than 6,000 animals.

According to the HSUS investigator, staff members of the lab restrained beagles and monkeys so tubes could be forced down their throats. Monkeys were held by the neck in restraint chairs, with their hands and feet restricted. Chemicals were then pumped into their stomachs, he added.

The investigator alleged that in one instance, a monkey was continuously administered chemicals even though it had already suffered serious adverse effects from a drug. The lab’s veterinarian told the technician to dose the monkey with the same drug. “I’m so sorry, maybe this will be your final dose. I kind of hope it is because it’s torture at this point,” said the investigator.

In another instance, at least 80 beagle puppies were forced to ingest the chemicals via a stomach tube every day for months. The dogs were later filmed in their cages whimpering and staggering in pain. According to HSUS, one puppy even collapsed on the floor.

The Inotiv lab also conducted tests on other animals aside from monkeys and beagles, added the animal welfare group. Pigs were recorded with bloodied skin on their backs due to having chemicals directly applied to them. Rats were also squeezed into plastic tubes to immobilize them during the testing phase.

According to the investigator, the animals are euthanized at the end of the tests. After culling, the animals are then autopsied to examine how the chemicals damage their organs.

Dr. Anthony Fauci funding horrific lab tests on beagles

“The disturbing findings at this facility cannot be ignored,” said HSUS President and CEO Kitty Block. “We are calling for the release of beagles we know are suffering in the lab today and soon to be euthanized, but that is just the start of our work.”

Meanwhile, Inotiv answered the accusations thrown by HSUS – arguing that its research is “legally required in the U.S. for developing lifesaving medicines, medical devices and biologics.” The drug firm did say in a statement that it is reviewing the animal welfare group’s claims of animal torture.

The revelations of animal testing – specifically on beagles – followed the reported involvement of White House Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci in horrific animal experiments. The infectious disease expert, in his capacity as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), bankrolled several institutions inside and outside the U.S. for this purpose.

Quoting documents obtained under a Freedom of Information Act request, the White Coat Waste Project (WCWP) said Fauci approved the release of $424,455 to a U.S. research institution for a study that utilized beagles. Healthy dogs were given an experimental drug, and then intentionally infested with flies that carry a disease-causing pathogen that affects humans. According to WCWP, some of the dogs were “vocalizing in pain” throughout the experiment.

The WCWP later revealed that Fauci again approved the release of $375,800 for another study involving beagles. This time, the money has gone to a laboratory in Tunisia where researchers drugged the dogs and put their heads inside mesh cages filled with sand flies. They also exposed the beagles’ mesh cages to the intense temperatures of the Sahara desert.

WCWP ultimately described Fauci as “sentencing beagles to death on taxpayers’ dime” with his bankrolling of studies involving beagle torture.
