The same DOJ Attorney placing Jan 6 Americans in jail is running an investigation into Sidney Powell’s non-profit. Is this because Powell offered to help the Jan 6 protestors?
We reported last night the non-profit Sidney Powell created after the 2020 Election Steal by the Democrats is under investigation and subpoena.
Then this morning we reported on how Powell was the target of the corrupt Florida Democrat, Nikki Fried, who went after the ‘We Build the Wall’ group as well.
The Washington Post reported on a subpoena in a typical slanted report but did mention the following [emphasis ours]:
The subpoena reviewed by The Post was signed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Molly Gaston, who is also handling politically charged matters related to the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, including contempt of Congress charges brought against former Trump adviser Stephen K. Bannon for refusing to testify in front of the House committee investigating the pro-Trump riot.
In an email, an attorney for Defending the Republic said, “We have always known the more effective we are, the more the false attacks will intensify. Defending the Republic has and will continue to fight for #WeThePeople who make this country work.”
In the new court filing, the prosecutors from the DC US Attorney’s Office, Amanda Vaughn, J.P. Cooney and Molly Gaston, especially take issue with Bannon speaking publicly about his case, including outside the court after his initial appearance, where he said his legal team would be on the offense and the charge against him would be “hell” for the Biden administration. The prosecutors also have said his lawyers didn’t take part in good-faith negotiations on a proposed confidentiality order in the case, as the judge overseeing the case had wanted.
Also, of note is that it was Gaston who dropped all charges against lying former FBI Acting Director Andy McCabe. Despite lying under oath multiple times, no charges were assessed against McCabe:
The case against McCabe charging the former senior law enforcement official with making false statements and orchestrating unauthorized leaks to the press was closed on Friday without any indictment. Now, McCabe works for CNN as a contributor.
“Molly Gaston, the asst US Attorney who signed letter to McCabe’s lawyer informing McCabe she was closing criminal case against him, is Democrat who’s given thousands to Dems including Obama & who once worked for Dem side of House Oversight & whose mother worked for WaPo,” Sperry had written.
But also significant to this case is the fact that Powell announced she was helping the Jan 6 protesters, the same group Gaston has been after since she was assigned to the case. We reported in July that Powell was helping the Jan 6 protesters who are being unjustly punished in a kangaroo court in Washington, DC.
Powell will be working WITH other yet unnamed high-powered attorneys who have also agreed to step in. She is NOT representing anyone….have to make that clear.
