The Russian St. Petersburg was covered with a white blanket after a night of heavy snowfall – a third of the monthly norm of precipitation fell in 24 hours.

According to the local authorities, for the past 24 hours from the streets of St. Petersburg were removed more than 7.7 thousand cubic meters of snow, for the cleaning of the city were mobilized more than a thousand units of equipment and more than 1100 people.
