Heavy snowfall tonight struck northern Spain, where more than 60 cm of snow fell in just 6 hours. Cities such as Navarra, Larressa, Huesca and Aragon were hit hardest by the snowfall.
In the affected areas almost 150 roads were blocked with snow, most of them had to be closed, traffic was stopped, many drivers were trapped in the snow, utilities actively rescued them, information about the victims, fortunately, no injuries were reported.
To combat the snow removal was thrown all available special equipment, as well as were transported snowplows from other regions of the country.
Air and rail traffic was interrupted.
