Heavy snowfall causes power outage in Denver, Colorado, USA

Heavy snowfall in spring broke trees and cut power lines, leaving thousands of people without electricity.

At 6:00 am, Xcel Energy reported that electricity had been cut off for about 6,400 customers in Colorado. About 3,400 of these are in the Denver metro area.
