Colorado fire covers 69,000 hectares

The area of the fire is estimated at 69,000 hectares, making it the second largest fire in Colorado history.

“We’re preparing for the worst. This is the worst of the worst, “said Grand County Sheriff Brett Shretlin.

There are fears that the fire could merge with the fire at Cameron Peak, which burned more than 81,000 hectares.
