This image shows a partially buried stone with an almost square angle, which is located northwest of Nightingale on the Bennu asteroid. Extremely fine-grained material is visible on the surface of the boulder.
The image was taken with a PolyCam camera on NASA’s OSIRIS-REx spacecraft on March 3 from a distance of 300 meters. The field of view is 3.5 m. For reference, the visible lower edge of the square boulder is 2.7 m across, which roughly corresponds to the width of the parking space.
When this image was taken, the spacecraft was above the Northern Hemisphere, directing the camera to the north and west.
