Large-scale flooding continues in 14 provinces of Iran

Heavy flooding continues in 14 provinces of Iran, while parts of the country are still recovering from floods that began in March.

On April 13, the Iranian Red Crescent Society reported two deaths, one wounded and one missing after floods hit the northeastern province of Rezavi-Khorasan. Two children also died in the central province of Yazd.

The provinces heavily affected by floods in recent weeks are Isfahan, Alborz, Tehran, Western and Northern Khorasan, Semnan, farce, Kum, Kerman, Kermanshah, Golestan, Gilan, Lorestan and Yazd.

200 people were evacuated to emergency housing after dozens of houses were damaged. The IRCS reported that relief supplies were provided to over 840 people in the affected province.


One of the most affected areas was Sabzevar, where two people died. Meanwhile, one person was reported missing in Hough County.
