Hubble photographed the comet “Atlas” nucleus, disintegrated into 4 parts

Hubble’s images of the Atlas comet recorded that its nucleus had split into four separate fragments. Debris of a comet as close to the Earth as possible – May 23.

Comet C / 2019 Y4 was discovered on December 28, 2019. The period of revolution of a comet around the Sun is about five and a half thousand years. Closest to Earth C / 2019 Y4 (ATLAS) – May 23.

At the time of the survey, the comet was located at a distance of 146 million kilometers from the Earth, and on May 23 it would come closer to our planet at a distance of 116 million kilometers, but these calculations were done even when the comet’s nucleus was one.
