In the province of Alberta in Canada, about 12 thousand people were forced to leave their homes in Fort McMurray due to the unexpectedly spilled river. Authorities say this is the strongest flood in the region over the past 100 years.

The water level in the Clearwater and Athabasca rivers rose sharply on April 26 due to ice congestion, water began to flood settlements and authorities were forced to urgently evacuate more than 12,000 residents to safe areas.
