Australia Has Snowed

In the southern hemisphere, just a few days before the calendar summer, southeast Australia had snow.

Snowfall was recorded in the mountains at Perisher Ski Resort, which is located in New South Wales.

Earlier in this state, as a result of a sharp cooling accompanied by a strong wind, a large number of trees and power lines were tumbled down and as a result more than 50 thousand residential buildings were left without power supply.
