Wind, heavy rain and large hail hit Wednesday morning on the Adriatic coast of Italy, in the city of Pescara, 18 people turned to the hospital with injuries and wounds.
In the neighboring areas of Molise and Emilia-Romagna, hail damaged cars and agricultural land. In the photos from the sea coast, inverted umbrellas and sun beds are visible. Bathers fled from the elements of flight.
Bad weather brought heavy precipitations with hail to the Abruzzo region. Its size, according to the publication, reached 5 centimeters in diameter. The victims, including a pregnant woman, were mostly injured to the head and face.
In connection with the inclement weather, the civil defense service set an orange level of danger in part of the territory of Tuscany. The yellow threat level operates in most provinces in almost all areas of the north and center of Italy: Lombardy, Lazio, Umbria, Liguria, Veneto, and others.
