On the coast of France found a stone with a 230-year cipher

A stone block with mysterious inscriptions was found on one of the beaches of the northern coast of France.

The stone was found 4 years ago, at low tide on the beach near the town of Plyugastel-Dula. One of its sides is completely covered in mysterious letters. Scientists estimate that the inscriptions were made about 230 years ago.

Along with a strange code, there are images of a ship and a heart on the stone, as well as two dates – 1786 and 1787. According to local official Veronika Martin, this may indicate a reliable historical fact. It was during these years that an artillery battery was formed to guard the fort, which was not far from Plyugastel-Dula.

Since venerable scientists and experienced cryptographers cannot figure out what is written on the stone, the town authorities have announced a contest. Anyone who until November 30, 2019 will be able to unravel the mystery of the mysterious inscriptions, will receive 2,000 euros. If you wish to participate, here is a part of the inscription that you could read:

ROC AR B … DRE AR GRIO SE EVELOH AR VIRIONES BAOAVEL … R I OBBIIE: BRISBVILAR … FROIK … AL
