Flooding in Sri Lanka

Powerful flooding hit the north of the country, which already led to the death of 4 people, and in the flooded areas more than 90 thousand people were trapped.

The areas of Jaffna, Killinochchi, Mullaytivu, Mannar, Vavuniya were especially affected. 12 thousand people were evacuated to hastily created evacuation camps.
