In Turkey, found underwater cave paintings

Images of the prehistoric period became visible after draining the hydroelectric dam.

According to Mehmet Alkan, director of the archaeological museum of Adıyaman province, the drawings contain images of people, animals and hunting scenes.

Experts note that the drawings on the wall eight meters long and 70 centimeters wide are well preserved, despite the fact that they were cut using primitive tools and technologies in the early Paleolithic era. Their age may be 2.5 million years.
