Residents of a small private house in the city of Komaki (Japan, Aichi Prefecture) were alarmed by the sound of a loud bang, which shuddered the structure. It turned out that three meteorite fragments fell on the roof of the house.
These are stones of 10, 5 and 4 centimeters in size, reports TASS. Each of them has one burned side. They have the properties of a magnet: they attract metal objects.
Stones studied at the National Museum of Science. Scientists said that the meteorite, the wreckage of which fell on a house, was 4.5 billion years old. Examination of the samples will continue. Komaki meteorite is planned to register in the international registry.
