In Egypt, excavated the hall of Pharaoh Ramses

Egyptian archaeologists discovered in the suburb of Cairo – El Mataria – the ancient hall of the era of the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II. The structure is well preserved and is considered an important find, said the head of the expedition Mamdouh ad-Damati.

According to historians, the monarch ruled Ancient Egypt from 1279 to 1213 BC. The room was used by the prehistoric king for special ceremonies. Scientists have found on the excavation site ruins of a brick wall, clay vessels and stone tablets with hieroglyphs, RIA Novosti reports.

It is known that Ramses Second (contemporaries called the ruler “Pharaoh of Miracles”, “Sun King” and “King of Kings”) strengthened the country’s authority by victories, conquests and development of new territories. According to legend, a representative of the XIXth dynasty lived more than 100 years, 67 of which led the state. He had about 100 children from 60 wives.
