Specialists of Akka Technologies offered a new design for aircraft. The company believes that aircraft with detachable wings will be more effective in the future.
The concept called “Link & Fly” is a fuselage, to which wings join.
In disassembled condition, “Link & Fly” can be used to load passengers directly on terminals. After it is loaded, it is transported to the runway, where wings are attached to it.
The concept has a length of 33.8 m, a height of 8.2 m and a wingspan of 48.8 m. According to Akka Technologies specialists, such an aircraft will be able to climb to a height of 12 km and develop a speed of about 1,000 km / h.
