The mudflow in Karachaevo-Cherkessia

After a heavy downpour in Karachaevo-Cherkessia in the aul area of Lower Teberda a powerful mudflow came down to the section of the Cherkessk-Dombai highway. As a result, the settlement of Verkhnaya Teberda, the city of Teberda and the resort village of Dombai were cut off from the outside world. According to preliminary data, there are no dead or injured.
Road workers plan to complete the clearing of the road and open traffic on Sunday, June 17. According to preliminary estimates, about 2 thousand cubic meters of soil came to the road, but the road surface was not damaged.
