Today at 9:09 local time an explosive volcanic eruption of Shinomodak located on the Japanese island of Kyushu occurred.
This is the 49th explosion at Shinomodak since April 5, 2018. The eruption sent a column of ashes to a height of up to 2,600 meters. The ash release lasted about 5 minutes.
