Heavy rains caused floods on the North Island in New Zealand

Heavy rains on Monday, June 11, caused floods in some areas of the North Island in New Zealand.
In some 36 hours, about 200 mm of precipitation collapsed and, as expected, the rains continue.
The most severely affected areas of Gisborne and Hawkes Bay. Due to bad weather without electricity, there were more than 1 thousand houses, many roads were impassable and were closed. The city of Te Caraca in Gisborne is completely cut off from the outside world.
Some areas experienced severe floods the second time in a week.
