Today, a geomagnetic storm is forecasted

Geomagnetic storms and auroras are expected on May 28, when the stream of solar wind will collapse on the Earth’s magnetic field. The flow flows from the coronal hole to the Sun.
A coronal hole is a region of the solar corona with a lowered temperature and a plasma density. This occurs when, as a result of certain interactions, the magnetic lines of the star open and the sun begins to “lose” the plasma. Free-flowing plasma from the near-solar space is called the solar wind.
