The eruption of the Indonesian Merapi volcano

A group of tourists was next to the Indonesian Merapi volcano, when he is awakened to life – a dangerous situation got to the video.
The camera photographed as a giant threw a huge cloud of ash to a height of almost 5,5 thousand meters. The sight is frightening even on the screen, and one can easily understand why dozens of people threw food and attempts to climb up the slopes of the volcano and left the place. A sudden eruption accompanied a rumbling sound, which indicates a high pressure inside the volcano.
People who live within a radius of 4.8 km from the crater have received an order for evacuation. Adi Suisputo Airport in Yogyakarta was temporarily closed due to volcanic ash spread.
The eruption did not increase the status of the volcanic danger of Merapi, which remains at the usual level, since no visible eruptions are expected in the visible future.
The volcano is almost 3000 meters high, located between the provinces of Yogyakarta and Central Java. Merapi is considered the most active of 500 Indonesian volcanoes. Its last major eruption in 2010 killed 347 people and caused the evacuation of 20,000 residents of neighboring villages.
Indonesia, an archipelago inhabited by more than 250 million people, is prone to earthquakes and volcanic activity, as it is on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a series of tectonic fractures in the form of a horseshoe.
