14 thousand people in the Sverdlovsk region were left without electricity because of the rain and a strong wind.
It is noted that from 20.00 to the present, due to unfavorable weather conditions (rain, wind with gusts up to 20 meters per second), massive emergency outages occur in distribution networks of 6-10 kV (the branch of IDGC of Urals, Sverdlovenergo).
“A part of household consumers (about 14,000 people) remained without electricity supply, the power of disconnected consumers is 25.5 MW The outside temperature is 6 degrees”
18 emergency crews were recruited for 62 persons and 20 units of special equipment, the ministry reports.
