As a result of a landslide in the province of Sichuan in southwest China on Tuesday morning, the movement of trains was paralyzed.
As it was reported in the Chengdu Bureau of the Chinese Railway Company, at least 18 passenger trains running along the route of Chengdu-Kunming were detained, suspended or redirected by detour routes.
The landslide was preceded by heavy rains. The damaged area is undergoing emergency recovery work. It is not yet known how long it will take to repair.
