“Hubble” showed the incredible Lagoon Nebula

April 24, 2018, from the moment the Hubble telescope is launched into Earth’s orbit, it will be exactly 28 years. To prepare for this event, the European Space Agency (ESA) published a surprisingly beautiful photograph of a giant interstellar cloud in the constellation Sagittarius, which was called the Lagoon Nebula.
This nebula is located at a distance of about 4000 light years from Earth. It was discovered in 1654 by the Italian astronomer Giovanni Battid Hodierna, only hundreds of years later it was possible to obtain a photograph of this place in space.
How does Hubble work?
This photo is made up of several exposures made using a special camera Wide Field Planetary Camera 3, which is installed on the telescope “Hubble”.
