An earthquake of magnitude 6.8 occurred in the south of Bolivia. The epicenter lay at a depth of 562 kilometers. Underground shocks were felt by residents of a number of cities, including the capital city of Sucre.
According to preliminary data, the earthquake did not lead to casualties and destruction due to the fact that the hearth lay deep underground.
