Eruption of Simmoe volcano occurred in Japan

As a result of an explosive eruption on the island of Kyushu of the Simmoe volcano, which began to erupt at the beginning of the month, the first pyroclastic flow appeared on March 25.
The Japanese Meteorological Agency (JMA) announced that the pyroclastic flow stretched about 800 meters to the west of the crater, but did not approach the residential areas.
The eruption of Simmoe began on March 1 with intermittent explosions from the crater. According to JMA, explosive eruptions were recorded at 07:35 and 08:45 on March 25, while clouds of ash and steam rose to a height of 3.2 km. The pyroclastic flow was recorded after the second explosive eruption.
In the area of the volcano, the third level of hazard warning is preserved, and therefore it is recommended that local residents and tourists stay away from the 1.5-km radius from the mountain, which is located at the junction of Miyazaki and Kagoshima prefectures.
