On the sun formed spots the size of the Earth

Sun freckle AR2699 changes its shape. Last weekend it turned into a quad “spot” with two new magnetic islands the size of the Earth.
Rapid changes in the appearance of a stain mean one thing: its magnetic field also changes rapidly. Blurred magnetic fields can contract, intersect and explode – a process known as “magnetic reconnection.” Solar flares in the magnetic dome AR2699, probably, will occur on February 12.
