Created a robotic snake

Employees of Harvard University have constructed a robot that can move with scales, like a snake. Engineers plan to use it in the future for medical and rescue purposes.
In the frames below, the robotic snake crawls along the asphalt (as long as it can move only along an even surface).
The “body” of the device consists of silicone tubes, in which small incisions are made. When air enters them, the robot stretches and scales appear on its skin. With their help, the “snake” clings to the surface.
