The hurricane zone (more than 33 m / s) covered a huge area, fairly patted the infrastructure and led to human casualties. The strongest gusts of wind (57 m / s) were recorded in the mountain town of Broken (Germany). On the plain, the maximum wind speed (38 m / s) is recorded in Gera-Leunits.
French meteorologists called the storm “David”, the German colleagues named him “Frederick”. According to statistics, “Frederick” has become the strongest storm since the hurricane “Cyril” 11 years ago.
