Astronomers have studied a very voracious black hole
The rapidly growing black hole, known as the active galactic nucleus, belched out the material twice.
This supermassive black hole is located in the galaxy known under the designation SDSS J1354 + 1327 (or simply J1354) at a distance of 800 million light years from our planet.
Combining the data obtained with the help of the Chandra X-ray Observatory with the data of optical telescopes, scientists were able to determine the behavior of the black hole under study.
Studies of this black hole, as well as computer simulations based on data obtained by observatories, show that in a relatively short period of time, she managed to “have breakfast” twice. Moreover, the time between its two breakfasts was only 100,000 years, which is quite small according to the astronomical framework.
