An earthquake of magnitude 7.6 occurred in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Honduras. Epicenter was located in 201 kilometers to the north-east of the village of Barra-Patuka in Honduras. The hearth of the earthquake lay at a depth of 10 kilometers. The authorities of Honduras announced a 12-hour danger of a tsunami in part of the country after a powerful earthquake.
There is a threat of a tsunami for Honduras, Mexico, Belize, Panama, Nicaragua, Cuba, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Guatemala, the Cayman Islands.
Underground tremors were felt almost throughout the country, as well as in Mexico.
