6 earthquakes of magnitude 5.5, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.0, 5.4 occurred on the border of Iran and Iraq in just 2 hours. The epicenter of tremors occurred at a depth of 10 km.
The first three earthquakes occurred 18-23 km from Mandali (Iraq) and 133-140 km from Baghdad (Iraq), the fourth earthquake was recorded 27 km from Mehran (Iran) and 197 km from Baghdad (Iraq). Two more earthquakes occurred 14-20 km from Mandali (Iraq) and 131-136 km from Baghdad (Iraq).
Subterranean tremors were felt in a number of regions of Iran and Iraq.
