Rospotrebnadzor warns Russian tourists about the discovery by
Spanish colleagues in the Canary Islands of mosquitoes carrying
hemorrhagic fevers.
A small colony of mosquitoes of the genus Aedes, which can carry the fevers of Dengue, Zik and yellow fever, was caught in a private house located in the capital of the island of Fuerteventura (Canary archipelago, Spain).
At present, natural conditions are studied in which mosquitoes of this genus can favorably reproduce, as well as reliable methods for controlling them.
Rospotrebnadzor asks Russian citizens to take this information into account when planning their trips.
