On Lake Khanka appeared ice wall height of 20 meters

On Lake Khanka, an ice wall with a height of up to 20 meters and a length of many kilometers appeared. Khanka is a lake on the border of Primorye Territory of Russia and Heilongjiang Province of China.
According to meteorologists, this ice wall arose as a result of a long period of low temperatures, strong winds and water currents passing over the surface of the ice.
Khanka is a lake on the border of Primorye Territory of Russia and Heilongjiang Province of China. Khanka is the largest freshwater reservoir in the Far East. The area is 3030 km ², the length is 95 km, the depth is 1-3 m, the largest is 6.5 m. The volume of water is 18.3 km³. The catchment area is 18,400 km ².
24 rivers flow into the lake, in particular, Ilisty, Melgunovka, Komissarovka; follows the river Sungacha, the inflow of Ussuri (the Amur basin). On the lake there are the villages of Turiy Rig, Platonovo-Aleksandrovskoye, Novokachalinsk and Kamen-Rybolov. The international Russian-Chinese Khankai Reserve is organized on the lake.
